Gordon discovered his love for health & fitness in gr. 10 P.E. class and has pursued this passion ever since. After completing his Bachelor of Human Kinetics at UBC in 2010, he served for 2 years in the Singapore Armed Forces as a Lieutenant. During his time there, Gordon was responsible for the physical fitness and combat readiness of his platoon which inspired him to attain his qualification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) upon returning to Vancouver.
He completed his Masters of Physical Therapy (MPT) from UBC in 2016, and has continued to broaden and refine his orthopaedic manual therapy skills and clinical reasoning up through level 3 of the CPA Orthopaedic Division levels, with the goal of completing an Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy in the next 2 years. Gordon also completed the Mulligan Concept Lower Quadrant course, is K-Taping (Kinesiotape) Pro certified, and is certified in acupuncture (CAFCI) by Acupuncture Canada. He continues to maintain current CSCS accreditation staying ahead of the latest strength and conditioning research by attending seminars and courses, reading articles, manuals and textbooks.
In his free time, you can find Gordon in the gym experimenting with the latest rehabilitation and strength training concepts, swinging kettlebells, clubs and maces, practising calisthenics, hiking the local mountains, snowshoeing, skiing, and sampling interesting craft beers.
