Henry Mok graduated from the Physical Therapy program at the University of British Columbia in 2021. Prior to this, he completed a degree in Biomedical Physiology at Simon Fraser University in 2016. Henry has completed his Orthopaedic Division Level 3 and has over 8+ years of combined volunteer and work experience as a Kinesiologist helping a wide variety of clients in an orthopaedic setting. He is extremely passionate about the conceptual framework underlying neuromuscular motor control and believes that one of the major keys to success for optimal recovery is when care is delivered through effective communication, empowerment through education, and to directly involve the client as the most integral piece of the puzzle when it comes to treatment planning. As a Physical Therapist, he encourages clients to ask questions and strives to supplement his soft tissue techniques, manual therapy, and exercises through the use of simple, easy-to-understand educational diagrams and concepts to help each client achieve their goals. Henry also provides dry needling treatments/techniques in the form of IMS (AN-IMS completion) and Acupuncture (AA1 completion). Outside of work, Henry not only enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling and running but is also an active fitness enthusiast, leveraging the theories learned throughout his academic career to construct dynamic workout programs and corrective exercises. Henry is also fluent in Cantonese.
